Job Summary
As a member of the Triple Creek Ranch management team, the Maintenance manager provides leadership to all maintenance operations while achieving the highest levels of quality, customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
Minimum Required Qualifications
The person in this position needs to:
- Constantly communicates with maintenance crew regarding maintenance needs of Triple Creek Ranch.
- Constantly move about the property, common areas and inside guest cabins.
- Constantly operate equipment and tools such as corded/cordless drill, impact driver, skilsaw, sawzall, grinder, palm sander, table saw, miter saw, nail guns, drill press, bench grinder, hand planer, power planer, routers, stick welder, acetylene torch, various hand tools mechanic/carpentry, voltmeters, etc .
- Occasionally ascend/ descend stairways and ladders to access and make repairs on multiple levels and hard to reach areas.
- Constantly position self to work and make repairs in small, confined and hard to reach areas.
- Constantly detect needed repairs.
- Frequently move and position equipment, tools, supplies, furniture and boxes weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Frequently operates a computer and other office equipment such as printers and copiers.
- Frequently communicate to other maintenance employees regarding maintenance projects and repairs.
- Frequently work in harsh outdoor weather conditions.
Essential Functions
- Create a positive and energetic environment that supports the delivery of an exceptional guest experience while upholding the highest level of TCR and Relais & Châteaux standards.
- Maintain the extraordinary five-star TCR image and resort appearance including all service, cleanliness, and appearance standards.
- Respond to all work requests. Prioritize them according to need and delegate work to the maintenance crew to ensure completion of issues. Follow up as needed with department managers.
- Support daily communications with the maintenance manager as well as the operations team (in the maintenance manager’s absence) on maintenance requests, project updates and changes to operational norms.
- Enforce sanitary practices for the pool including: daily testing, general cleanliness, maintenance of equipment, organization of pool building and ordering & storage of supplies. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws and ordinances.
- Work directly with the Assistant general manager in development and implementation of the capital projects list and budget. Determine which projects will be completed in house and which will be contracted out. Develop timelines and communicate with affected department managers.
- Interview, select, train and mentor employees for efficient operations. Motivate and develop employees by communicating expectations, delivering feedback and conducting periodic evaluations. Lead with integrity, setting maximum standards for yourself and your team.
- Implement and manage all departmental environmental health/safety programs including periodic safety meetings, safety compliance, reporting, recordkeeping and waste management (composting, recycling, etc.).
- Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including supply, utility and labor costs. Maintain labor costs through efficient employee scheduling and time management. Ensure that all financial (invoices, reporting, inventory) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Serve as the maintenance manager on call as required.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
