Job Summary
The Bartender is responsible for creating a comfortable yet upscale experience for guests of Triple Creek Ranch in the rooftop lounge. This position is responsible for all aspects of the rooftop lounge including ambiance, cocktail/beer/wine/non-alcoholic beverage service, as well as food service under the direction of the Beverage Manager.
Minimum Required Qualifications
The person in this position needs to:
- Constantly move about the bar area and rooftop lounge.
- Constantly use your hands to pour, mix and stir.
- Frequently use cleaning equipment to wipe, scrub and polish.
- Frequently ascend and descend stairs when moving between the dining room and the rooftop lounge or storage areas on the main floor.
- Assist in creating a cocktail list that is individual to Triple Creek Ranch and utilizes in season and local products.
- Occasionally positions self to reach items in lower cabinets, on lower shelves and in beverage closet.
- Frequently communicates with guests regarding drink selections and other ranch information, guest requests or concerns to theBeverage Manager, Dining Room Manager, or other appropriate departments.
- Frequently lift and carry boxes, equipment and other items weighing upwards of 30 lbs.
- Must possess an alcohol server certification valid in the state of MT, or obtain one within 60 days of hire.
- Serve guest food in the Rooftop Lounge.
Essential Functions
- Create a positive and energetic environment that supports the delivery of an exceptional guest experience while upholding the highest level of TCR and Relais & Châteaux standards.
- Maintain the extraordinary five star TCR image and resort appearance including all service, cleanliness, and appearance standards.
- Must adhere to TC Ranch alcohol policy, creating a space where guests can enjoy themselves, but not be overserved.
- Never serve minors alcoholic beverages.
- Responsible for following TC Ranch standards in consistency and service.
- Sell wine and spirits and relay the information to the Beverage Manager to place on the guest’s invoice.
- Have the ability to create and pour beverages in an accurate, consistent and quick manner, adhering to the recipe book.
- Learn about and be familiar with the various wines, beer, spirits and cocktails that are offered.
- Monitor inventory and par levels related to beverages, including but not limited to: beer, spirits, cocktail ingredients, fruit and other garnishes, bar snacks, glassware and other necessary working items for the lounge.
- Be familiar with daily menu items, be able to explain food items to guests in a knowledgeable and articulate manner and serve food in the lounge as needed.
- Ensure that the dietary concerns of all guests are accounted for and properly relayed to the back of house staff.
- Report any guest complaints/issues immediately to the Beverage Manager/Dining Room Manager.
- Be self-motivated to perform cleaning tasks when assigned tasks and duties are completed.
- Practice safe and proper food handling techniques and general cleanliness of equipment and food storage areas, in compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws and ordinances.
- Perform opening, side work and closing duties for the bar.
- Always conduct yourself in a professional manner with guests and other employees.
- Adhere to company and department dress code.
- Follow all safety and food handling procedures properly.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

- General cleaning (sweeping, mopping, removing trash, etc.)
- Assist in cleaning of the lounge during the off-season
