Tributary Hotel, the first Relais & Châteaux property in Oregon, is located in McMinnville, a centerpiece within Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Housed in a historic, beautifully maintained 100-year-old building in the heart of McMinnville’s charming downtown, the Tributary Hotel is envisioned as a sanctuary of slow for travelers. Eight suites are thoughtfully designed to pay homage to the region, offering guests a holistic, immersive experience that can only be experienced in the Willamette Valley. General Manager Christine Langelier oversees the operations and directs Tributary's signature style of hospitality. Downstairs, Ōkta Restaurant, helmed by Michelin-starred Chef/Partner Matthew Lightner, is the culinary heartbeat at the center of the property. Conceptualized to further pay tribute to the local terrain, Ōkta offers a micro-seasonal culinary experience that transforms gradually with nature's natural cadence and draws inspiration from the bounty of the valley. Dishes are fastidiously crafted with an eye for the unexpected while reflecting the harvest from the restaurant’s nearby regenerative farm and larder. The larder is where Chef Larry Nguyen works closely with Chef Lightner to preserve, transform, and reimagine local products using both ancient and modern fermentation techniques, one of the regenerative efforts used at the Ōkta farm. Through his continuously evolving tasting menu, Lightner tells a story of terroir, inviting guests to join him on a culinary adventure that reveals a moment in time within the region.
