White Elephant Resorts is now accepting applications for the position full-time, year-round positions of Corporate Director of Accounting to manage the hotel accounting operations for our five hotels and marina. The Corporate Director of Accounting will be required to represent White Elephant Resorts in a professional manner adhering to the company’s core operational hospitality standards.

*Relocation to Nantucket required.

Must have 2 years of Hotel Accounting experience at the Director of Accounting level.

Other important aspects of this position include the ability to:

• Handle disputed charges by guests courteously
• Manage Accounting staff and provide trainings in operations as needed
• Review general ledger and look for discrepancies; Review monthly taxes; Review bank reconciliations
• Review balance sheet reconciliations of staff and reconcile balance sheet accounts as directed by Vice President of Accounting
• Ensure Accounts Receivable meets minimum standards.
• Prepare month end financial statements
• Assist in budget process
• Set up Inventory schedule

Applicants should also work well under pressure, possess excellent communication skills, be organized, flexible, self-motivated, and have a great sense of humor. Experience with computers and Microsoft Office essential.
