Position Summary
The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and assigned common areas in accordance with Forbes 5-Star standards. Duties include but are not limited to making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities. With meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence, the Room Attendant ensures each guest enjoys a comfortable, safe, and memorable stay at The Ranch.
Key Responsibilities
• Clean guest rooms and assigned common areas according to Standard Operating Procedures with exceptional attention to detail.
• Monitor and ensure proper functioning of in-room appliances, furniture, and fixtures; report any issues promptly to the supervisor.
• Follow equipment operating instructions to ensure safe and effective use.
• Assist with laundry and public space cleaning during need periods.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, requests, and special requirements, escalating to supervisor as needed.
• Maintain organized housekeeping storage areas and communicate supply needs to leadership.
• Accept and apply feedback from inspections to continuously improve quality and consistency.
• Promote teamwork and service excellence through communication with co-workers and other departments.
• Follow flexible schedules, adapting to changing work hours and assigned tasks as required by business needs.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following property standards, procedures, and legal regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
Qualifications
• At least 6 months of prior housekeeping or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License preferred.
• Ability to complete assignments independently while working collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong focus on detail, cleanliness, and guest comfort.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time.
• Ability to move frequently between guest rooms and assigned work areas.
• Comfortable using radios/pagers and responding promptly to communications.
