Primary Purpose of Position
The Staff Cook prepares healthy, appealing meals for Ranch employees, working out of the Buckle Barn or Lodge Kitchen. This role includes meal preparation, delivery, cleanup, and maintaining safe and sanitary work and dining environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Follows all Ranch at Rock Creek policies and procedures

Prepares nutritious, high-quality meals for staff in a timely manner

Ensures all meals are fresh, cleanly served, and meet quality standards

Cleans and sanitizes kitchen and staff dining areas before and after service

Safely delivers and picks up meals

Maintains cleanliness of staff dining vehicles

Communicates effectively with Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager

Follows food safety, sanitation, and rotation procedures

Assists with seasonal menu planning and ingredient use

Receives and inspects product deliveries

Updates prep sheets and communicates inventory needs

Demonstrates dependability, professionalism, and teamwork

Prioritizes tasks and manages time effectively
Education/Experience
-
Previous banquet or event cooking experience required

High school diploma or equivalent

Proficient with kitchen tools and cooking methods

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Valid driver’s license required
Special Skills/Equipment

Understanding of food production, safety, and quality control

Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cleaning products

Strong coordination and communication skills

Ability to adapt and work collaboratively
