Responsible for booking business from the group segment; Corporate retreats, Incentives, C-Level Events. Focus on increasing occupancy during our winter season.
Grow Corporate Group Market with regular sales calls, sales trips, solicitation calls, client entertainment, FAM’s, tradeshows, and actions identified to support exceeding revenue goals. This also includes managing accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded.
Responsible for sales efforts within a defined national territory of US and Canada. Sales targets will focus on the corporate group markets and social event business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed solicitation goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
- Be and Active member in Luxury industry associations
- Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear directions to all departments in The Ranch to ensure a high quality of service to customers.
- Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings as necessary to develop these markets.
- Gain knowledge of competition and key customers in these markets.
- Be self-motivated in the “work from home” environment.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
- Exceed pre-assigned revenue and solicitation goals to exceed budgeted segment requirements.
- Develop and initiate all actions necessary to achieve established sales department revenue goals and overall business revenue goals for the ranch
- Respond to leads and requests for the ranch’s information in a timely and professional format.
- Prepare and distribute internal / external correspondence, contracts, BEOs, group resumes, rooming lists, events schedules, and other documents in an accurate and timely manner.
- Participate in the Hotel’s weekly BEO meeting to review group and event business and specific program agendas.
- Responsible for ensuring group deposits and rooming lists are received as identified in the group sales contract.
- Able to produce production / productivity reports as requested.
- Ability to answer company phones, take accurate messages and make follow-up calls.
- Execute Commercial Strategy Team initiated sales and marketing programs.
- Assist with the completion of the hotel’s annual budget
- Proficient in MS Office and able to create documents, spreadsheets and presentations as requested.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in luxury hotel sales or extensive experience in corporate sales.
- Experience in remote work environment.
- Computer training and proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Illustrator. Adobe Suite.
Qualifications
- Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Must possess computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Delphi, Hotel Agency 360 and Cvent.
- Advanced knowledge of sales skills.
- Ability to analyze trends, develop, and execute appropriate action plans for one’s own markets.
- Able to set priorities, plan, organize and delegate some tasks.
- Desire to participate as part of a team.
- Must be willing to pitch-in and be a team player.
- Professional image indicative of the luxury segment.
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines
- Ability to maintain hotel’s standards, policies, and procedures
- Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments and follow-up as necessary to receive desired results.
- Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment.
- Ability to focus attention on details.
- Ability to input and access information in software programs.
- Ability to exert physical effort: lifting, bending, seated for extended periods of time.
- Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of employee, guest, and company information.
