Bartender/Cashier - Full-time

As a bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner, while occasionally performing as a cashier in our restaurant. Your dual role will include taking orders, mixing drinks, ensuring the bar area is clean and stocked, and providing excellent customer service. When working as a cashier you will take food and soft drink orders. You will receive tips in both positions.
Responsibilities:
Behind the Bar:
- Greet guests and respond to guest inquiries in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Checki IDs to verify legal drinking age and maintaining a safe, enjoyable environment for all guests.
- Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards.
- Present and serve beverages to guests.
- Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with federal, state, local and company laws and regulations.
- Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, and making change.
- Stock and maintain the bar to include, but not limited to, beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce. Submits orders or creates requisition forms for liquor, beer, and other bar-related supplies.
- Cut, store, and ensure product quality of all beverage-related perishables.
- Ensure that fruit and other garnishments are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar.
- Maintain the bar and keep it clean and organized.
- Respond professionally to inebriated guests, as needed; and use proper judgment and, when necessary, refuse service to guests who are intoxicated or disruptive.
When Cashiering:

Accurately take food orders and deliver meals and drinks promptly.

Answer questions about the menu and make recommendations.

- Work with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service.

Clear tables and maintain a clean dining area.
Qualifications:

Prior experience as a bartender (1+ year preferred).

Serving experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule.

Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.

Must be 21+ and have or be willing to obtain a Food Handler's Card.

This is a full-time, position working at Sun Outdoors located in Orange Beach, AL. Flexible scheduling required, including weekends and holidays.
