A Hotel Preventative Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of all hotel facilities, including HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing, and other infrastructure. They perform regular inspections, troubleshoot issues, and carry out necessary repairs to maintain the comfort and safety of guests. The engineer also manages preventative maintenance schedules, coordinates with vendors for specialized repairs, and responds promptly to guest or staff requests for maintenance assistance. The role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong focus on guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Preventative Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role plays a key part in maintaining the quality and appearance of our guestrooms through painting, touch-ups, and restorative projects. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, takes pride in craftsmanship, and ensures our hotel maintains the highest standards of guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform painting, refinishing, and restoration of guestrooms, bathrooms, and public areas.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure rooms remain in excellent condition.
- Inspect guestrooms regularly and address issues before they affect the guest experience.
- Repair and maintain walls, furniture, tile, fixtures, and finishes as needed.
- Work closely with the Engineering team to support larger maintenance projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Respond to guestroom maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in painting, maintenance, or hotel engineering preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to produce high-quality finishes.
- Basic knowledge of tools, paints, coatings, and surface preparation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
