Position Overview:

As an HVAC Technician at the Sanderling Resort, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The HVAC Technician will ensure guest comfort and proper functioning of all HVAC equipment throughout the resort. This includes responding to service requests, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation, Maintenance, and Repair: Installing new HVAC systems, performing routine maintenance on existing systems (like changing filters, cleaning coils), and repairing malfunctions in various components such as motors, compressors, and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing problems with HVAC systems using diagnostic tools and knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Emergency Response: Responding to guest complaints or urgent maintenance needs related to HVAC systems, ensuring a comfortable environment for guests.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, which is crucial for tracking system performance and future planning.
  • Collaboration: Working with other maintenance staff, engineers, and potentially third-party contractors to ensure the smooth operation of the resort's systems.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety regulations and procedures related to HVAC maintenance, including the use of personal protective equipment and handling refrigerants.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Implementing and adhering to a preventative maintenance schedule to minimize breakdowns and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Contributing to overall guest satisfaction by providing prompt and efficient service for HVAC-related issues.

Position Requirements:

Ability to interpret manufacturer's literature for installation, preparation, use and upkeep of various materials and products used throughout the property.

Ability to prioritize tasks and comply with deadlines for work assignments.

Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, stoop, twist, push, pull, and use power and hand tools.

*Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules (including Holidays and weekends) to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
