PM Sous Chef – Chico Hot Springs Resort
Join the award-winning culinary team at Chico Hot Springs! We’re looking for a passionate PM Sous Chef to help lead our evening kitchen operations. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, scratch-made environment that values creativity, consistency, and teamwork.
Our kitchen takes pride in everything we produce - from our own garden-grown vegetables to A5 wagyu and locally sourced ingredients. The PM Sous Chef plays a key role in maintaining quality, supporting the team, and ensuring smooth service every night.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and support evening kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and timing.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef to implement menus, prep lists, and production goals.
- Train, motivate, and set the tone for line cooks and stewards during dinner service.
- Maintain high safety and sanitation standards in accordance with health codes.
- Assist with inventory, ordering, and prep oversight to reduce waste and keep operations efficient.
- Set the example for professionalism, urgency, and pride in our craft.
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience as a Sous Chef or strong line lead in a busy, high-quality kitchen.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong knife skills and a deep understanding of cooking techniques.
- Commitment to consistency, cleanliness, and hospitality.
- Someone who thrives in a team-first, can-do kitchen culture.
