Job Description

The Finance and Planning Analyst role is ideal for someone who is ready to dive deep into data, reporting efficiency, challenge legacy processes, and help shape the future of the company financial planning and analysis. This position works directly with the SVP of Finance and partner across the department to deliver insights, drive performance, as well as push our team to embrace all that the bleeding edge of AI offers for finance professionals. This position requires someone who is technically sharp, curious, and collaborative as well as someone who works hard, plays harder, and shares our passion for the outdoors and mountain lifestyle. This position reports to the SVP of Finance.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $72,500 - $92,500. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities

  • Support core FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting. This includes owning daily reporting for the ASC division.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, Power Query transformations, and semantic models to deliver scalable, actionable insights.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Accounting, and other teams to support strategic initiatives and financial decision-making.
  • Own and lead AI education and enablement for the ASC Finance team, helping integrate AI tools into workflows and reporting.
  • Develop financial models and reporting to evaluate business performance, capital projects, and strategic opportunities.
  • Present insights and recommendations to colleagues and leaders in clear, compelling formats.
  • Assist in documentation of processes and knowledge transfer across the team.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Two (2) to Four (4) years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, consulting, or accounting, ideally from an organization that teaches best practices related to documentation and reporting.

Additional Information

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Query, and DAX/M programming.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, JDE) and financial reporting tools.
  • Exposure to AI tools and a passion for enabling others to adopt new technologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A mindset that embraces change, challenges the status quo, and thrives in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or other data tools as plus.
  • Experience with RTP One point-of-sale systems a plus.
  • Background in ski, hospitality, retail, outdoor industry, and/or service industry finance would be helpful.
  • Strong organizational and interdisciplinary skills will be used daily.

Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
No adverse or hazardous conditions
Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
