Job Description
Summary
The Global Sales Manager will cover a defined territory and generate group revenue opportunities for Limelight Hotels by developing and leveraging strategies to gain new and referral business, enabling the Hotel to maximize operational profitability. This position reports to the VP of Sales.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 plus sales incentive plan. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions
• Prospect new business using a wide variety of methods including but not limited to phone calls, outside sales calls, community and CVB networking, internet prospecting, engaging resources and relationships within Brand Sales Organization, and client entertainment within assigned territory
• Develop, implement and adapt quarterly sales plans and account development strategies with other sales, revenue and event leaders
• Prepare for and conduct unique site inspections, hotel presentations, and webinars that project our hotel brand in a compelling way
• Solicit, negotiate, contract, and manage revenues from accounts that meet group criteria established in the hotels business plan and budget to exceed monthly, quarterly and annual booking goals
• Develop, implement and adapt quarterly sales plans and account development strategies with other sales, revenue and event leaders
• Coordinate and participate in target market/regional trade shows and sales blitzes
• Prepare and present Requests for Proposals so that both client and hotel receive an attractive and fair market value
• Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date data- inclusive of deadlines, client and program details, correspondence and traces in Delphi
• Communicate client requirements to ensure all information is accurate between client and Hotel staff and client satisfaction is maintained and exceeded
• Partner with property sales, reservations, revenue, and events departments to ensure that all details are communicated to ensure a successful meeting experience

Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in sales and marketing, business or related discipline preferred
• 5 or more years’ experience in hotel sales required, experience in a National/Global Sales role preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Proficient writing sales proposals, contracts, and budgets preferred
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Delphi/Amadeus, HMS, and Property Management Systems
• Proficient in communications with exceptional verbal communication skills and a clear and persuasive writing style
• Ability to exercise superior communication, presentation, organization, time management and listening skills.
• Excellent command and strong experience in selling, negotiating, business writing, presentation skills and closing techniques
• Knowledge of overall market in supply/demand, territory business trends, competitor SWOT, client sentiment to most effectively position our hotels
• Ability to use analytical skills for measuring business potential and value to the Hotel.
• Ability to maintain a resilient, positive attitude that projects positive and friendly interactions with clients and Hotel staff
• Ability to travel into designated markets up for multi-day/overnight sales trips up to 15 to 20 times annually
• Excellent oral (presentation) and written communication and organization skills

Work Environment and Physical Demands
Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements. No adverse or hazardous conditions. Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance.
