Job Description

Summary

The Barista takes guest orders and makes coffee drinks using Lavazza recipes and standards at the base of Aspen Mountain in downtown Aspen.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $20.00. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain the proper care and cleanliness of equipment.
  • Is responsible for station set-up, side work and station breakdown
  • Clean and restock station throughout shift
  • Maintain positive communication with service and kitchen staff
  • Display knowledge of all menu items
  • Must be knowledgeable of 5-star standards and adheres to them in every aspect of operations
  • Make Manager aware of guests’ comments and complaints.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures for the Aspen Collection and the Aspen Skiing Company.
  • Is familiar with fire and safety procedures. Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by management.
  • Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 5-Star Customer Service experience required
  • Basic knowledge of wine, food, and cooking methods
  • Club Service experience preferred

Additional Information

Supervision Given and Received
Supervision Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Supervision Received: Works under direct supervision of the General Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
