Job Description
Summary
The Director of Membership Sales, ASPENX Mountain Club (AXMC) is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the AXMC concierge team and Club locker room. The Director of Membership Sales on a daily basis will work directly with the Club Manager and Executive Chef, to ensure excellence in all areas of the Club; service, F&B, and the overall Member experience. The Director of Membership Sales is responsible for all direct sales efforts, enforcement of all Club rules and regulations, member wait list cultivation, and managing all administrative responsibilities. Administrative duties include, but are not limited to, new member application process, token redemption, tracking, and reconciliation, as well as leading all member communication.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $80,000-$95,000 plus commission. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions
• Manage day to day operations of the AXMC concierge team, including hiring, training, scheduling, time & labor etc.
• Schedule concierge staff at Club reception desk to check-in members and their guests.
• Schedule concierge staff at base of mountain, winter only, in AXMC locker room to support ski valet service to/from the gondola
• Work directly with Club Manager, Executive Chef, and other dining room staff to support Winter lunch service, and Sunday Brunch (spring / summer only), as needed
• On going effort to maintain excellence in all areas of the Club, service, food and beverage, and overall member experience
• Build report with members, to promote member introductions between new memberships and existing
• Daily spend time in the Club during lunch service checking in with the members
• Hold members accountable to the rules and regulations, and use best judgment when rules should be amended based on a case-by-case scenario
• Follow up with all member emails, phone communications, within 24 hours
• Support direct sale efforts and continued waitlist generation through networking, club events, and other social events
• Partner with Sundeck Complex GM to complete the Club portion of budget
• Utilize checkbook to track all expenses, and forecast expenses
• Manage outstanding annual membership dues, in partnership with accounting department, to collect past dues
• Facilitate all new member background checks
• Manage and process new member applications
• Manage member waitlist and keep up to date
• Manage current membership list and keep up to date
• Manage member token redemption to include ski pass distribution, single day pass distribution, locker allocation, and parking allocation; reconciliation of all to budget
• Coordinate all Club special events and activation in partnership with Club Manager
• Coordinate all Club communications, i.e. special events, rules and regs reminder, token redemption, seasonal parties, and annual dues; to name a few
• Coordinate with AspenX corporate team on branded retail items and displays for the Club
• Ensure CRM remains up to date for all Club documents and material including but not limited to; current membership list, membership waitlist, membership profiles, token redemption and reconciliation
• Work with VP Asset Management on annual dues increase
Qualifications
• Must be a “hands on” leader, this is not a “desk job”
• 10 years Leadership / Management required
• Prior Club Management is preferred
• F&B background is preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong ability to network, cultivate relationships, and socialize with members while maintaining professionalism at all times
• Strong computer skills including all Microsoft Office Applications
• Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
• Fiduciary mindset to manage the Club as if one’s own
• Strong financial acumen to manage budget and capital improvements
• Must be able to work Holidays and Weekends
Additional Information
Supervision Given and Received
Given: Exercises direct supervision over the concierge employees of the AspenX Mountain Club. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, frequent and detailed review of work, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Received: Works under limited supervision of the VP, Asset Management. Receives guidance in terms of broad goals and overall objectives and is responsible for establishing strategical methods to attain them. Can formulate policies but does not necessarily have final authority for approval. Review of work is not detailed and emphasizes accomplishment of broad work objectives, rather than specific assignments.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
• Must be able to ride Gondola and work on top of Aspen Mountain
• Must be able to carry one pair of skis up a flight of stairs
• Must be able to be on feet for 8+ hours per day, when needed
• Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time
