GlenCove Manager
Glen Cove is Old Edwards’ multi-generation adventure-wellness community located in the beautiful Norton area of Cashiers, North Carolina. It has a 12-hole, par-3 golf course, trout ponds, a recreation lake, a wellness center, community gardens and farm, a swimming pool, pickleball, multi-use sports courts, kids camp and a clubhouse loaded with activities like bowling and a golf simulator.

GlenCove has a dining room featuring casually elegant food. GlenCove and Old Edwards Club members and guests have access to the entertainment barn to enjoy lunch, dinner, and special events throughout the season.
Job Summary
The GlenCove Manager oversees all aspects of dining service and events, including inventory maintenance, set-up, scheduling, food presentation, service and breakdown while also focusing on detail, quality, and customer service. This role is responsible for supervision of GlenCove front of house staff including hiring, training, coaching and performance management.
Responsibilities
- Lead the GlenCove Food & Beverage Team to ensure over-all member and guest satisfaction and focusing on quality of service
- Control of all GlenCove food & beverage china, cutlery, glassware, linen, equipment, etc.
- Completion of weekly schedules. Schedule staff as necessary to ensure adequate and consistent levels of service
- Maintaining all Bar control policies, in accordance with State laws
- Maintain records for equipment inventory’s, monthly stock inventory, labor cost, food
- cost etc.
- Consistently check of Food and Beverage quality, restaurant services and Plate
- presentation
- Liaise on an on-going basis with GlenCove Leadership, Culinary Team and Old Edwards Food and Beverage team to ensure all Members and Guests needs and requirements are met
- Provide quick service for last minute changes
- Handling guest issues & requests
Qualifications
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations and preparation is required
- A degree in hospitality or business management is preferred
- Previous supervisory experience is desired
- Excellent communication and guest relation skills in English
- The ability to work well with a large group of people in a team environment
- Must be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations including the ability to
- handle guest complaints and disputes and resolve them to satisfactory results
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding and clarifying concerns and issues raised
- by team members and guests
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends, and holidays
- Essential duties require extended periods of standing and walking as well as frequent reaching
- and kneeling, pushing, pulling, carrying, lifting, and moving objects 50 lbs. or more
- Duties are performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, with events often taking place
- in the elements in all four seasons
