Description

This position is a customer service oriented telephone sales role and will help to coordinate onsite event execution. The representative will provide accurate information regarding the ZooAmerica Group Sales programs.

Job Duties:

  • Answer inbound calls for ZooAmerica group sales.

  • Monitor the ZooAmerica education email account.

  • Assist potential customers by providing accurate information regarding ZooAmerica group sales programs.

  • Book all onsite group programs, guided tours, animal encounters, and birthday parties at ZooAmerica.

  • Fulfill administrative duties for group programs, including clerical, accounting, report and schedule generation, and answering and referring telephone calls from the ZooAmerica group sales line.

  • Become proficient in the use of the Galaxy ticketing system to process and issue group tickets.

  • Conduct outbound sales calls to prospective customers.

  • Follow-up on online inquiries to provide information on pricing, payment, ticketing etc.

  • Assist and greet clients with in-person customer care when necessary

  • Execute birthday parties and act as the birthday party host if needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED

  • Minimum 1 year of related work experience

  • Must be 18 years of age or older on the date of applying

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have a strong working knowledge of computers (including general Office Suite and Google Workspace programs)

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally, including delivering safety instructions/directions, verbal cues, and speaking clearly into microphones and radios

  • Proven guest relations, problem-solving, task management skills, and organizational skills

  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times

  • Must be able to multitask while prioritizing job tasks and assignments

  • Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines

  • Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information

  • Ability to work efficiently in a very high-volume, fast-paced environment

Job Demands:

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including morning, evenings, weekends and holidays, with shifts starting as early as 7:00 AM

  • Must be able to work at least 25 hours a week, Memorial Day through Labor Day, and 15 hours a week in the off season

  • Physical requirements include ability to stand, walk, bend at the waist and knees, have repeated manual dexterity, the ability to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level, and lift up to twenty (20) pounds without assistance

  • Must be able to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions. This position will be primarily inside, however employees may be subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather.
