Nurses are responsible for overseeing daily First Aid Operations of the HersheyparkEntertainment Complex in coordination with the Head Nurse and Safety & Security Management Team. This position performs all duties in accordance with the licensure requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Job Functions:

  • Assess, treat, and triage guests and team members who report to First Aid, as well as supervise care provided to the patients by Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)

  • Provide exemplary service to all guests and team members within the HersheyparkEntertainment Complex

  • Administer emergency medications as permitted and required

  • Perform and complete administrative tasks, as needed

  • Ensure proper and accurate documentation of all patient contacts and/or treatments

  • Maintain adequate medical supply stock in patient care areas

  • Consistently practice safe work habits to include, but not limited to, the use of personal protective equipment, lifting, and reporting of unsafe conditions

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age on the date of applying

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

  • Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license

  • Must possess a valid certification in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers

  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience as a Registered Nurse

  • Must be able to obtain a valid Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Background Check, and Federal Criminal Background Check, as a condition of continued employment

  • Required to complete pre-employment drug testing

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications, including Excel and Word

  • Must have proven excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times

  • Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally, including delivering safety instructions/directions, verbal cues, and speaking clearly into microphones and radios

  • Must have the ability to remain alert and vigilant at all times

  • Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirements to include, but not limited to, passing required tests and certifications within established timelines and ensuring all certifications remain up-to-date and active

  • Ability to handle stressful working conditions, and emergencies, and accept a high degree of accountability

  • Must display a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, and a professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines

Job Demands:

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays - Team members must work a minimum of eight (8) hours every two pay periods in order to stay an active employee

  • Must be able to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions. Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather.

  • While performing the duties of this position, the team member will regularly (⅔ or more of time) walk for prolonged periods; talk; hear audible alarms, voice commands with background noise; use hands and fingers to grip, pinch, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; climb stairs / ladders; balance; lift up to 100 pounds with control; close vision with or without corrective lenses (clear vision at 20 inches or less and must not be color blind); distance vision with or without corrective lenses (clear vision of 20 feets or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right, while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus while in changing light conditions, e.g. sunshine to indoor or dark conditions); maintain alertness and attentiveness while working varying hours; maintain concentration/focus (e.g. ability to interpret the work environment and make decisions on predetermined operating policies and procedures); ability to smell
