Human Resources Manager
C Lazy U Ranch
OBJECTIVE:
The Human Resources Manager oversees the day-to-day human resources (HR) needs and operations of the C Lazy U Ranch (Ranch). Responsible for talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, employment law compliance, employee engagement, organizational development, and total rewards. This position is responsible for the following while working with the VP of Accounting: establishing and implementing HR initiatives, programs, and practices, and assessing their effectiveness. The Human Resources Manager ensures compliance with state and federal employment laws, as well as Ranch policies and procedures; advises management on HR issues; and provides support and assistance to Managers and Directors regarding HR practices and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Deliver high-quality HR services to employees and managers, contributing to a positive employee experience and strong organizational culture.
• Collaborate with senior leadership team and management team to drive organizational performance, productivity, and capability through HR initiatives.
• Advise Directors, Managers, and other leaders on a broad range of HR matters, ensuring alignment with Ranch goals and values.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, retention, and workplace satisfaction, including recognition programs.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal employment laws and regulations, providing guidance on risk management and mitigating legal exposure.
• Oversee leadership development and succession planning programs, identifying and preparing high-potential employees for advancement.
• Leverage HRIS technology to streamline processes and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations.
• Partner with all departments regarding work related incidents and root cause. Manage the process with workers comp vendor.
o Manage annual OSHA reporting
• Oversee all benefit programs to include health, 401(k) and ancillary benefits.
o Participate in the annual negotiation process for wellness programs
o Liaison with 401(k) provider and financial consultant.
• Partnering with the CFO of Triton Investment Company, identify new employee housing lease options.
• Manage all on/off-site housing.
• Partner with the VP of Accounting to process payroll.
• Lead and mentor the Recruiting & Development Specialist and the Housing and Activities Coordinator, overseeing their professional development and performance.
• Ensure all staff are trained on HR policies, processes, and best practices, and provide ongoing support in resolving personnel issues.

• Proven ability to implement strategic HR initiatives that align with the Ranch’s goals and foster long-term success.
• Experience in employee engagement, retention, and implementing wellness programs.
• Strong background in leading and managing change within an organization.
• Proficiency in analyzing HR metrics to drive improvements and inform decision-making.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws, including Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, ADEA, ADAAA, DOL
• Experience developing and implementing HR programs, policies, and processes.
• SPHR and/or SHRM certification a plus.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• HRIS experience, including management reports.
• Ability to work on-site and remotely, as well as evenings and weekends, as needed.
Annual base salary is based on experience and education. Base salary range is $70,000 to $80,000 plus bonus. Benefits offered include health insurance, PTO, Sick, 401k, and more.
